Garreth

Laurinton Garreth Warren was born in February, 1966 in the beautiful little island in the Caribbean call St. Vincent and the Grenadines. He moved to Montreal, Quebec, Canada in 1975 with his Mother, his sister and his 3 brothers.

After living in one of the rougher neighborhood of Montreal call Little Burgandy, his mother decided to move them to a safer community call La Salle. In the summer of 1981, Garreth Warren began studying the art of Sil-Lum Hung-Gar Kung-Fu with Masters Bun & Kin Hong at the Hong Kung-Fu Club in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. On February 28th, 1991 Garreth received his Black Sash (Belt).

1996, Garreth moved to Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada on the East Coast of Canada. In October of 1996 Garreth opened the Five Animal Kung Fu School and embarked on what is now his journey to helping people feel better about the way they feel.

After one of his female kung fu student remarked on how much she has lost weight doing Kung Fu, Garreth figured he should come up with an exercise program for those not necessarily interested in learning Kung Fu as a form of self defense so on March 1st, 1999 Garreth created F.I.T. (F)inally (I)'m (T)oned. A non-impact, total body workout using some of the graceful movements of Kung Fu. Garreth began giving F.I.T. classes at his kung fu School.

In 2002 Garreth produced his first F.I.T. Exercise Video which featured Anais Guimond, co-host of Caribbean Workout.

In 2007, the workout was re-filmed in the beautiful Compass Room at the Nova Scotia Casino in Halifax, Nova Scotia Canada.

Garreth has made several appearances on Breakfast Television to demonstrate his Kung Fu and have been featured in local papers such as Frank Magazine, Black To Business Magazine, The Chronicle Herald & The Halifax Coast Weekly
